Hi, I’m Jose Diaz.

I’ve been in the self-defense industry for over 25 years. In that time I’ve helped a lot of people figure out how to protect themselves. Some wanted a gun. Some wanted a knife. Most just wanted something simple they could count on.

I’m a father. I’m a grandfather. I’m a great-grandfather. That’s the real reason I do this. I want my family to get home safe, and I want yours to get home safe too.

Why I started Brainstorm Security Shop

Here’s the thing. Bad things happen. They happen more when it gets dark early, when you’re walking to your car, when you’re driving through a part of town you’d rather avoid. I’m a big believer in carrying. I have my concealed weapons permit. I carry a gun and I carry a knife. That’s what works for me.

But it doesn’t work for everybody. Maybe your job won’t allow it. Maybe you’re not comfortable with it. Maybe you’ve got a daughter in college and the school doesn’t want weapons on campus. That doesn’t mean you should go out there with nothing.

That’s why I built this shop. I wanted to give people a choice. Any self-defense tool is better than none.

What you’ll find here

Stun guns. Pepper sprays. Personal alarms. Knives. And other self-defense gadgets I’ve looked at, handled, and thought through. I don’t carry something because it looks cool or because a box says “million volts.” I ask real questions. Is it small enough to carry every day? Can you work it with one hand? Will it still work when your heart is pounding and you’re scared? If it can’t pass those tests, it’s not in my shop.

Straight talk

I’m not going to oversell you. No tool is magic. Whatever you buy, learn how to use it. Practice with it. It’s not a toy. A little training goes a long way, and it can keep you from freezing up when it counts.

Also, know your local laws. Some places, like courthouses, schools, and airplanes, don’t allow these tools. Do your homework before you carry.

My promise to you

I’ll give you honest advice, the same advice I’d give my own family. Take a look around. Ask questions. If you’re not sure what fits you, reach out and I’ll help you sort it out.

Get something. Learn it. Carry it.
